Haleakala Summit Day Tour

Strap on your helmet and biking gear! This will be a bike ride like you've never had before. View the volcanic landscapes and cinder cones as you coast down the gentle slopes of Haleakala, an enormous dormant volcano. From a height of 6,500 feet, you'll get a spectacular view of East Maui while breathing in the crisp, clean air of the island and enjoying the cool breeze.

The tour starts at the peak of the Haleakala Volcano at an altitude of 10,023 feet. It's a bit chilly up here, but the view makes it completely worth it. From here, you'll ride in a comfortable motor coach as you tour the Haleakala National Park. An experienced guide will accompany you through the park, pointing out the most interesting sights and telling you all about this area's amazing past. The bike ride begins at the top of the Haleakala Ranch. You'll be provided with a nice bike, a helmet, gloves, and a windbreaker. Once you've geared up, you'll coast down the side of the volcano and 21 hairpin turns that allow you to wind gently down the slope. This ride will give you a clear view of the Maui Mountains as well as a beautiful valley. You'll journey through forests where the roads are lined with pine and eucalyptus trees. Additionally, you'll visit the towns of Kula and Pukalani.

After a delicious lunch at the Sunrise market and Flower Farm, you'll continue your journey through Kula and Upcountry, enjoying the county air and peaceful atmosphere. The bike ride ends at Pukalani, where you will travel by van from Pukalani, relaxing as your guide tells you all about the island's history of sugar and pineapple plantations. This full-day tour will be a fun and exciting adventure!
