Haleakala Bike and Winery Tour

View the majesty and dynamic landscapes of Maui from the top of a volcano! This is a tour for the truly adventurous at heart as you ride down the long, winding slopes of Haleakala, the world's most enormous dormant volcano. Of course, the ride is completely safe, equipping you with helmets and a reliable bicycle, and the gentle slope and back-and-forth curves allow you plenty of time to look around and enjoy the incredible scenery. After a complimentary breakfast, you'll travel in our Safari van to the top of the Haleakala Ranch. From a height of 6,500 feet you'll enjoy this incredible overlook that provides a wide-open view of the volcanic structures and hills as well as the valleys and mountains in the distance. Just outside the Haleakala National Park, this is an ideal spot to relax and admire the beauty of East Maui.

Before the ride begins, our experienced guides will give you safety instructions to ensure that you have the most enjoyable ride possible. Next, you'll get on your bike, which can be adjusted for your comfort, and cruise volcano country. The road we travel on is extremely smooth with wide areas for you to pull over and take pictures of this special place. Two of our leaders will be with you throughout the trip to teach you about the area's geology and history. As you coast, you'll travel through thick forests with eucalyptus and jacaranda trees, and you'll visit the peaceful town of Kula. After a relaxing bike ride, travel in our van to the Ulupalakua ranch, which hold's the sole winery of the island. Finish off this perfect day strolling through the winery and enjoying free samples of wine.
