Discover the Road to Hana

The Road to Hana takes you through an isolated part of the island that is the last undeveloped paradise in Maui. Relaxing in our air-conditioned mini-bus, you'll enjoy every twist and turn in this adventure, which reveals the splendor of island waterfalls and beautiful beaches. In fact, there are more than one hundred turns on this road, each one offering new and incredible views.
Start the day with a hardy breakfast before we load up and take to the open road. Among the most unique vistas, you'll get to see many of the island's isolated caves, formed from volcanic activity dating millions of years ago. No kidding! In fact, Haleakala, the island's highest peak, broke the surface of the Pacific Ocean around 1 million B.C. The Hana Highway goes around the base of that grand volcano, which is 21 miles across and 4,000 feet deep. You'll also get to view the unique black sand beach at Hana Bay, which got its distinct sand as a result of lava erosion that traveled into the ocean.

Throughout the day, you'll get to swim and play in some of Maui's most stunning beaches. The waterfalls on this journey are exquisite as well, including the Wailua Falls, the Wai Kane Falls, and the Puohokamoa Falls, a 20-foot fall that empties into a clear pool just off the Hana Highway. Explore the waterfalls at Puaa Kaa State Park and the scenic views of the northeast Maui coastline at Kaumahina State Park. You'll also see the Keanae Look-Out and the Kauiki Hill, with its red sand beach. Visit the quaint towns of Hana and Paia, both offering visitors a relaxing, peaceful atmosphere.
