Deluxe WWII Beginning to End Tour

There's just something about history and the artifacts of a nation that speak to the way of life during a certain time and the way a civilization has since evolved. The second World War and the dramatic attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 had a significant impact on the entire country, which reeled from a sense of loss and mourning of this terrible day and yet grew stronger in its resolve to fight for freedom and for the country's future. Whether you know very little about World War II and the attack on Pearl Harbor or you are extremely familiar with these events, you are guaranteed to learn something new on this trip and to be in awe by the fact that you are standing in the very spot where history took place.
  
From Kapalua, Maui, you'll fly in one of Hawaii's top jet airplanes to Honolulu, Oahu. Visit Pearl Harbor and the U.S.S. Arizona Memorial, which pays homage to the courageous men who were on board the U.S.S. Arizona battleship when it sank. You'll see what remains of the vessel, which continues to rest at the bottom of the ocean floor and contains over one thousand men who died when it went down. A room inside the Arizona Memorial was made in honor of these men. Additionally, you'll tour the U.S.S. Missouri Battleship, called the Mighty Mo, a battleship that saw the end of World War II.

This tour also includes a visit to the Punchbowl National Cemetery, the final resting place for many of Hawaii's military. Learn more about Honolulu's traditions as you look upon the King Kamehameha Statue, which dates back to 1878 when government official Walter Gibson decided to commemorate the 100-year discovery of Hawaii by Captain Cook. You'll also see the Iolani Palace, which was the official residence of Hawaii's last two monarchs.
